Painting the Still Wild West...

Lynn is an award-winning Western artist who enjoys capturing the beauty and traditions of California ranch life. She is co-founder, president emerita, and director of communications for the Pastel Society of Southern California; vice-president, exhibition chair and Signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast; juried member of the Pastel Society of America; and a member of the California Art Club and Pacific Arts Group. Lynn is also the founder and past director of the Rejoice in Art! Fine Art Fair & Exhibition (2015-2019) held in Redondo Beach, California. As a four-year invited artist to the Tehachapi Arts Exhibition and Sale (2022-2025), Lynn's work has been featured in Western Art Collector and American Art Collector magazines. Her paintings have been acquired by many collectors over the past two decades.

Born on a farm in Fremont, Michigan, Kristy McNelly’s early days were spent riding horses and playing in the woods along the creek. Art has been a long pastime since childhood. It is that love for nature and animals that is still carried into her work today as an oil painting artist. An active volunteer and director of the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center in Boerne, Texas. Since 2002, Kristy has been enjoying putting on events and antique tractor pulls. Kristy can also be seen on back roads around Texas driving her Seafoam Green antique 1950 Ford Truck called “Seabiscuit”.

The artist was born in a large stone mansion in Michigan, situated between Chicago and Detroit, and grew up in the Midwest surrounded by creativity from an early age. Her father painted, while her mother danced—fueled by strong coffee and a love of chocolate. Art was not a discovery later in life; it was woven into her beginnings.

reating my art is as much a part of me as breathing. My inspiration comes from the small, even insignificant, things that surround us in everyday life. I earned my B.F.A. and M.A. degrees in painting from Northern Illinois University. My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in private and corporate collections in the United States, Sweden, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Australia and Great Britain. My paintings were selected for the American Embassy Residences in Rangoon, Burma and Niger, Africa, under the Art in Embassies program initiated by President John F. Kennedy. I am listed in Who’s Who in American Art and Who’s Who in America, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. I co-authored the book, “Now What? This Art Business.” My work is included in the books, “The Best of Silk Painting,” and “The Fine Art of Painting on Silk”. I am represented by Abel Contemporary Gallery, Stoughton, WI, 317 Art Collective, Rockford, IL, and JR Finally Art, Rockton, IL and am a member of artists’ organizations including WAOW, TWSA, NWS, SPIN and the Art Guild of Rockford.

Linda Becker has always had a passion for life, people, children and animals. She was shy in school but when it came to her art classes, she felt right at home and knew her calling. She devoted her life to her children, who always came first, but once grown, she finally found time for herself. With her passion for art rekindled, she decided to attend college taking computer and several art classes consisting of drawing and painting, learning perspective, composition and the balance of color. She also received instruction from local established artists for many years.

Lynn is a contemporary Western artist known for her vibrant and colorful paintings that capture the beauty of wildlife, horses, cowgirls and cowboys, and the western lifestyle. Her passion for art started at a young age, and throughout her career, she used her creative energy as a marketing professional in the aerospace industry and later in her own small marketing and web design firm.

 A story teller has the power to captivate, evoke deep emotions, impress and inspire. An artist gets to do that visually. There is something thrilling about a blank canvas. It invites and intimidates at the same time. Debra Trent’s story as an artist begins and ends in nature. Raw, trancendent, solitary. The animals captivate her, and the wilderness provides infinite inspiration.
