Interested in WAOW Membership?

WAOW, Inc. is accepting applications for Associate Membership from women artists worldwide. WAOW accepts work in traditional media and sculpture only: Acrylic, Charcoal, Colored Pencil, Gouache, Graphite, Oil, Pastel, Sculpture, Watercolor, Wood. (No digital art, fabric art, found art sculpture, giclee prints, glass, jewelry, mosaic, photography, or quilting, is accepted.)

WAOW is looking for outstanding artists whose work is original in concept treatment and execution.

  • All members are required to have a website displaying their artwork, their bio, and their vitae. We do not accept Facebook pages, Fine Art America, Pixel websites, Instagram, or Single Card page websites. All members must have and use email, as it is the primary means of communicating within our membership. Membership includes a page on WAOW’s Artistry with links to your email and website.    

  • WAOW holds one national juried show per year for our members. We also have two online shows each year.

  • Application process starts with a completed online application with paid fee. Applications will go through a juried process. The jurors will be specifically looking at the artists’ creativity, professionalism, consistency and quality of work. Artists will be notified if they are accepted into WOAW or not. Only completed applications with fees paid will be considered.

  • Membership starts with acceptance and payment of dues.

  • Members are encouraged to show their work in WAOW nationally sanctioned ads.

  • WAOW specifically respects United States’ copyright law standards with respect to its application to WAOW members artwork.

  • ​The Board of Directors makes the final definition as to subject, medium, originality and suitability of work submitted for jurying.

Benefits of WAOW Membership

This is one of the few national art organizations that require a 100% juried membership. Attained through our Jury process, your membership is an honor in itself.

Our Application Periods are as follows:

Jan 1-March 31

 April 1-June 30 

 July 1- September  30

October 1-December 31 

After each period ends, the review process will take about three weeks to complete , after which we send out the acceptance or rejection letters. New members who receive their acceptance letters in January, i.e., those who applied in the October1-December 31 period will be required to pay the full year's fee.  Members who are accepted in the other applications periods will have their membership fees prorated according to the time left in the membership year period.
