Cecy Turner is an award-winning artist who works in both watercolor and oil.   She prefers to paint en plein air, and does so almost daily   since she began spending half of every year in Colorado.   The effects of light and atmosphere are her favorite things to capture in paint.

Turner graduated from Vanderbilt University and did post-graduate study in art at University of North Texas.  She has additionally studied under numerous accomplished artists in both oil and watercolor

Nationally recognized, award–winning artist, Jennifer Hunter, is known for her sensitive storytelling of American history through her art work.  Her paintings exude unique quality of light and rich luminous color in both watercolor and oil. Hunter finds that her working knowledge of the use of transparency in watercolor enhances her oil painting techniques; and working in oil allows for experimentation with textured surfaces using both transparency and opacity of paint to give life to her work.  

Leslie Lambert (also known as Leslie Redhead) is a celebrated artist known for her innovative poured watercolors. With a keen eye for detail and a mastery of color, Lambert skillfully pours and manipulates pigments on paper, resulting in stunning and dynamic compositions of the West. Her artwork, characterized by vibrant hues, has garnered widespread acclaim and has been exhibited in prestigious galleries and exhibitions worldwide. Lambert’s ability to push the boundaries of traditional watercolor painting has established her as a trail blazer in the arts.

Elizabeth Lewis Scott believes that there are no shortcuts when creating art and she delights in the details.  Her drawings and paintings of horses, cattle, donkeys, wildlife and western life are filled with the little details that give life and authenticity to her work. 

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts from Principia College, Elsah, Illinois.  She then further honed her craft painting en plein air across Europe.  She worked almost entirely on equine subjects early in her career, adding wildlife and western subjects in the mid-1990s.

Shuli Wang is an accomplished artist residing in the vibrant Chicago metropolitan area. She was born in Inner Mongolia, China.  She exhibited exceptional talent and an unwavering passion for the world of drawing and painting from an early age.  Wang possesses a remarkable versatility, working fluently with an array of artistic mediums including pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Her artistic style can be aptly described as impressionistic realism, where vibrant brushwork often reminiscent of traditional Chinese freehand paintings infuses life into her creations.  The subjects of her work are as diverse as her mediums, spanning landscapes, still life, and portraiture.

Terry Denson creates paintings that are vibrant and realistic, with just a touch of abstraction.  She seeks to capture the dramatic contrast between color saturated subjects and deep shadows. 

Denson began her career as a full–time artist in 2003.  She was initially self–taught, but has taken opportunities to study in workshops throughout the country with nationally recognized artists, and attended formal drawing instruction at several schools in Maryland, including the Maryland Institute, College of Art.

Sharon Brown Standridge is a noted painter depicting the life of the American west and nostalgic figurative scenes with great light and energy.  Her western heritage runs deep.  Her grandfather, father, his four brothers and a sister were known as the world’s youngest rodeo performers, Tex Brown and His Little Buckaroos. This rich western heritage informs Standridge’s ability to render the people and places of the west with vivid authenticity.

Nancy Harkins is a watercolorist and graphite artist from Oklahoma.  Her style is realist and her subjects are wide ranging.  Her award–winning works have been featured in the watercolor anthology, Splash 19:  The Illusion of Light, and featured in two books, Seasons of Life and Seasons of Love. Her paintings are avidly sought for private and corporate collections.

Barbara Gerard-Mitchell is an artist who works primarily in oils, acrylics, and watercolors.  Her subjects include landscape, wildlife, equine, and the western life-style. She is a graduate from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she received an Associate of Fine Arts Degree.  She has continued her studies with many renowned master painters. 

Lori Abrams Rauchwerger is an accomplished and award-winning artist whose creations are predominantly inspired by dogs, people, and other pets. She works to capture their essence in diverse settings utilizing a diverse range of media, including oil, pastel, and watercolor.

Rose Irelan is inspired by the diverse landscapes of the coast, desert, and mountains. Her paintings capture the energy and changing light of the natural world, using expressive brushwork and a deep appreciation for color. Whether painting the rugged shoreline, the quiet beauty of a desert morning, or towering mountains, she strives to convey the feeling of a moment rather than just a scene.

Susan De’Armond turned her passion for art into a serious pursuit of a fine art career in 2007.  Plein air painting takes her back to memories of trekking through the woods on family outings, or memories of her grandmother tending her garden filled with her irises and lilacs.  When De’Armond gets out into the woods or the wild, she says it feels like coming home.

A Texas native, Tina Bohlman has used her home state as both the inspiration and the canvas for her art.  A self-taught artist, Bohlman is well versed in several mediums but favors watercolor and oil to create breath–taking plein air paintings and brilliant rural landscapes. 

Janis Casco-Blayer’s studio and plein air paintings from the Northwest, Arizona, Hawaii and abroad reflect diversity in her paintings. She has worked in a variety of mediums including oil, watercolor, zinc plate etching and bronze sculpture among others. Blayer’s impressionistic style captures the spirit of animals, people and landscapes with uncanny precision and emotion. Her recent move to Buckeye, Arizona has ushered in a new era of creativity, infusing her artwork with captivating southwest landscapes, cowboys, horses, and rodeo scenes. 

Andi Burnum finds herself continually drawing inspiration from her love for the American West. She grew up on the high plains of Kansas where she spent a majority of her time outside, in and around nature and her family's cows.  Burnam’s love for animals, both domestic and wild, knows no bounds. Her pieces are usually a mixture of moments that she has loved, combined with her need to create semi-realistic and detailed art.

Yvonne was born and raised on a cattle ranch.  Horses and art have always been her passion.  It's no surprise horses and people are her favorite subject.  Many of her works are done on commission. She has taught workshops in the community for over 25 years.  She works in a variety of mediums, and has won many awards over the years.  Yvonne was inducted into the Elk Grove Community Hall of Fame for her accomplishments as an artist in 2020.  Her paintings have hung at the California State Capital and at Washington D.C.

A Texas native, Tina Bohlman has used her home state as both the inspiration and the canvas for her art.  A self-taught artist, Bohlman is well versed in several mediums but favors watercolor and oil to create breath–taking plein air paintings and brilliant rural landscapes. 

Denise Horne-Kaplan started her professional career in 1983.  She has participated in exhibits and juried shows — over 74 national and International juried shows and eight solo shows to date.  She is in six international publications, including being a featured centerfold Artist with thirteen paintings in the 1999 Winter Issue of Watercolor magazine.  Horne-Kaplan is a signature member, one of only 130 in the country, of the Miniature Artists of America. 

Carolyn C. Bell, an award–winning Texas artist, fell in love with the southwest’s vast landscape upon moving to Texas at the age of eight.  Her love of the southwest landscape has been translated into many artworks that depict the myriad colors, rocks, and foliage that has caught her eye and heart.  Southwestern Spanish architecture and the Spanish missions of Texas and New Mexico are also cherished subjects, along with florals, wildlife and still life.
