Deborah LaFogg–Docherty

 

Deborah LaFogg–Docherty is best known for her detailed, photorealistic paintings that celebrate wildlife, landscapes and the natural world.  She works in pastel, oil, and acrylic.  Her art practice is driven by a lifelong commitment to nature and conservation. She has participated in artist expeditions, including conservation-focused travels to Kenya to support efforts for endangered species.

LaFogg–Docherty’s art has been exhibited in solo shows and group exhibitions, including at the Ernest F. Coe Gallery in Everglades National Park, wildlife refuges, Art Renewal Center, and the Salmagundi Club in New York City.  She has received national and international awards, including recognition from the International Association of Pastel Societies, and inclusion in museum shows in the United States and abroad.  She also shares her expertise through art workshops, demonstrations, and classes, including plein air pastel workshops and instruction at local arts centers in Florida.
