Teanna Kurtz
Teanna Kurtz, professionally also known as T. Kurtz, creates pastel paintings of landscapes, light, water, skies and wildlife, primarily on suede substrate. She loves pastel for the available rich pigments and the expressive quality she is able to achieve with them. Her goals for her artworks are purity of form and technique while capturing atmospheric moments of peace, serenity and calm in nature.
Kurtz studied Fine Art at Washington State University. She travels and exhibits her works at art shows throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Arizona. She teaches pastel classes through arts organizations, such as the Spokane Art School, the Pend Oreille Arts Council, and The Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center. Kurtz has also served as artist-in-residence at the Spokane Art School, further establishing her presence in the regional art community.
