Sara Bloodwolf in Studio with her paintings and brushes in hand.

Rotation of my work in Studio each night.

I work on several paintings at once using one large palette.I rotate the canvases on the easel as they dry and as my inspiration and patience changes on each day.Even though i paint every single day I take a long time on each, my average painting is 3x3 feet and takes a month of daily painting and i mean every day.  I built my current studio inside my business so I can be in both places at once. My tattoo shop in front welcomes collectors 5 long days a week. When the work day is over, I lock the doors and turn the front lights off then retreat to the back studio like a nocturnal creature waking up to do crimes.

The painting on the easel is a 24 x 30 oil on canvas titled " His Mountain Blanket" inspired during a camping trip through Glacier. A young man wears a blanket of the mountains and lake on his body , a hat of clouds moving through the sky adorns his head. A vest made of trailing flowers and aspens covers his torso as they cover the land he lives in.This painting was shown at the recent Coors Western Young Guns show. - Sara Bloodwolf
