Mary Arnold
The local Land Trust of the Treasure Valley hosted this wonderful write-up about their 30th Anniversary Celebration and highlighted that I'll be there painting live!! I am so honored to support this amazing organization. Not to mention, a bit intimidated to paint live!!:
"Some places become part of our story. Some artists help us remember them. 🎨🌿
In 2021, artist Mary Arnold joined us as an Artist in Residence, creating beautiful paintings inspired by LTTV legacy properties including Perkins Nature Preserve, Harrison Hollow, and Dry Creek.
This year, Mary is returning for our 30th Anniversary Annual Dinner to create a live painting of Eagle Island Point, celebrating a remarkable new chapter in the conservation of this special place.
For decades, the Perkins property has protected the head of Eagle Island. In 2026, neighboring landowners donated their properties, expanding the preserve to encompass the entirety of Eagle Island Point.
Throughout cocktail hour and the early part of dinner, you'll be able to watch Mary's newest work come to life. Some of her other works of art and prints will also be available for purchase, and at the end of the live auction, the wet painting will be framed and auctioned to one lucky bidder.
One artist. One special place. One brand-new piece of LTTV history."
Join us in two weeks on Friday, August 28th at JUMP as we celebrate 30 years of protecting local lands and building lasting legacies. Buy your tickets today at lttv.org!"
I want to thank all the land trusts and those that support them because they do amazing work, protecting migration paths for wildlife, clean water and riparian areas, open spaces and even ensuring farm land does not get paved over. They are truly the gems of conservation. Please support your local land trusts!!!
