Two of my paintings, Stars and Stripes and Prairie Pathfinders, have been selected for Still Becoming: America 250 at the Center for Western Studies, Augustana University, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

This exhibition explores the landscapes, histories, cultures, and identities that continue to shape the American experience.

Stars and Stripes presents a contemporary geometric interpretation of rural architecture and American flag motifs, reflecting the layered and evolving identity of life in the rural Midwest.

Prairie Pathfinders honors the collective presence of women across generations, tracing how they have shaped, navigated, and redefined their place within the changing cultural landscape of the Midwest.

Together, these works explore themes of place, heritage, and identity, contributing to a broader conversation about what America has been—and what it continues to become.
