The WAOW Artistry is slowly being built to provide a page on our site to promote each artist. This project began late summer 2024. We have over 300 members to load here on their pages. You can search by name, location or by subject matter to find an artist.
Phyllis Mantik de Quevedo • Oklahoma • waow
Phyllis Mantik de Quevedo is a sculptor and painter. She is most widely known for her figurative sculptures. The inspiration for her current figurative series is flora and focuses on representing botanical forms through metaphors as they relate to human forms and human experiences. Both human beings and flora contribute color and vibrancy and she is moved to capture and share expressive brief moments in time.
Laura Pollak • North Carolina • waow
Laura Pollak is an award–winning, fulltime, professional fine artist. She works primarily in oil and pastel. Her art practice explores landscapes of the earth and constellations, as a continual search for her place in the universe. Her artworks run the gamut from realism to explorations of the abstract.
Karen O’Brien • Washington • waow
Karen O’Brien is a contemporary abstract colorist. She uses a unique layering technique to create her non-objective, abstracted landscapes that creates an interplay of texture, color and form to create visual vibration.
Stacy Leeman • Ohio • waow
Leeman often takes traditional Jewish texts and creates artworks that use contemporary painting methods. She works as a gesturalist painter using symbols, including the palette itself, to explore themes raised by the text. Leeman exhibits extensively throughout the United States.
