Katherine Galbraith
Katherine Galbraith is a nationally recognized American artist known for her oil paintings focusing on figurative realism. Her subjects include portraits, landscapes, still life, florals, and animal subjects. Her portraiture clients have included notable figures such as President George H. W. Bush, and leaders in various professional fields. She has established a strong reputation across the United States through exhibitions, awards, and representation in galleries nationwide.
She attended the National Academy Museum School of Fine Art in New York on a full merit scholarship, where she studied portraiture under Daniel Greene and Impressionism under Robert Phillip. She founded Plein Air Westfield, a community plein air painting event, and has taught workshops in both portraiture and plein air techniques.
Her paintings and career have been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur, International Artist Magazine, Art of the Portrait, Outdoor Painter, and mainstream publications like Better Homes and Gardens and Veranda. She is a signature member of Portrait Society of America, Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, and National Oil & Acrylics Painters Society.
