Cheryl King
Cheryl King has an ongoing love affair with art and wildlife that has spanned more than thirty years. She is best known for her expressive representations of animals and nature. Her constant goal is to honor the animal she is painting, while infusing fun-loving, bold, honest and energetic qualities to her depictions. King paints primarily in oils on aluminum or with mixed media.
King learned her craft through workshops, personal study, and immersion in the natural world. A pivotal moment in her development was a month of study in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2006. She is a member of Women Artists of the West and the American Impressionist Society. She also founded and serves as president of the Washington Art Gang. King donates a portion of her art proceeds to animal conservation efforts. Her art is collected internationally, with owners in Australia, Europe, Canada, and across the United States.
