Leaving a Legacy
In a world filled with so much noise and strife, art, and the creating of art is how I relax. It’s how I rest my heart and mind. It is my therapy.
All genres of art have that ability, music is one of them. It enables me to relax and get lost in my work (my art). Some songs on my playlist are so beautiful that I listen to them every day as I paint.
That’s the same effect I want my paintings to have on the viewer. When someone buys a painting, they hang it in their home and have the pleasure of looking at it every day. My sincere hope is that it gives their heart joy.
I recently sold two swan paintings to a collector who made an emotional connection to them. I'm so happy that they will hang together in her home and bring her the joy that I speak of.
Now that’s a worthy legacy!
