All instructions are here for you to jury each candidate applying for WAOW Membership. Rank them between 1 and 5, 5 being excellent and 1 being not

Please read all materials submitted from each Membership Candidate. As you examine their artwork and their website you will be able to evaluate and assign a score valued from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) for how each submission has satisfied the following questions. The judges’ scores will be tallied. Membership will be given to the applicants scoring the required rating. Your score sheet will be sent directly to the Jury Administrator and she record your Tally at the bottom of each of these forms. You must complete a form on each application submitted. 3. Is there a thoughtful use of space, perspective, or spatial illusion? (e.g., depth, flatness, foreground/background relationships) 🟦 Rating: 1–5

COLOR

4. How strong is the artist’s use of color in terms of palette, harmony, contrast, and mood? 🟦 Rating: 1–5

VALUE

5. Value (Light and Dark) Is value used effectively to create contrast, emphasis, or depth? 🟦 Rating: 1–5

TEXTURE

6. Is texture (real or implied) used in a meaningful way to enhance the visual or emotional impact of the work? 🟦 Rating: 1–5

COMPOSITION

7. How strong and unified is the overall composition? Does it feel balanced, dynamic, or intentional? 🟦 Rating: 1–5

QUALITY AND EXECUTION

8. How well does the artist execute their chosen painting style (e.g., realism, abstraction, impressionism, etc.)? 🟦 Rating: 1–5

CLARITY OF EMOTION OR MESSAGE

9. Does the painting clearly convey an emotional tone, concept, or subject? Is the artist’s message or intent effectively communicated? 🟦 Rating: 1–5

ORIGINALITY and ARTISTIC VOICE

10. Originality and Artistic Voice Does the artist demonstrate a unique vision, concept, or personal style? 🟦 Rating: 1–5

TECHNICAL SKILLS

11. Technical Skill (Painting) Does the artist demonstrate mastery or control of their chosen painting medium(s)? 🟦 Rating: 1–5
