Barbara Ellis is a classically-trained academic realist painter.  Her artwork celebrates the beauty of the natural world in all its variety — from delicate mare and foal scenes, to wildlife and rural animal scenes, to classical portraits and still lives.  Ellis seeks to capture the beauty, dignity, and personalities of her subjects in her oil and acrylic paintings.  Horses are an especially loved subject.  She has spent years working to perfect her craft to achieve anatomical accuracy while expressing equine fire and elegance.

Sherrie Nielsen • California • waow

    Sherrie Nielsen is a figurative artist creating oil paintings and drawings of fauna, flora, cosmos and humanity, working in California.  Her favorite mediums are oil, charcoal and colored pencil.  Her art works have been juried into international and regional shows, received recognition and awards; and have been published as illustration in a major university academic journal and book cover design.

It was on the prairies of Minnesota that I learned to observe and listen. The song “Country Sunshine” says it nicely. I am forever a child of God; a student of life.

I believe everyone is an artist.  Art is life. We can't help but share life all around us daily. We each have a gift and a personal choice as to how we express it, feel it, use it, and thus, live it.
