"Realism, detail and movement are signature to her work. Commission work holds a special place in her heart, as it's a way to capture a loved one, person or animal, in a special way."

Bio Pamela Winters

Award-winning bronze artist Pamela grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York, at the south end of the Adirondack Mountains. With a passion for wildlife and a love for people, she focuses on western art and wildlife. She was constantly sketching and studying both, looking at hair patterns, facial features, muscles and overall structure. Pamela possesses a God-given talent, as she is primarily self-taught. Her love of creation is reflected in each piece she creates. Realism, detail and movement are signature to her work. Commission work holds a special place in her heart, as it's a way to capture a loved one, person or animal, in a special way.

In 1981, she married Mark and moved to Oklahoma. She immediately fell in love with the Oklahoma animals, landscape and people.  But, she needed an outlet to capture her desire to create. She began working in 3-D with mosaics, and wire and beaded art that was sold at Aspen and Evergreen Gallery in Estes Park, Colorado for several years. That wasn’t enough!  She discovered sculpting in 2007, but continued to work full time. Pamela was finally able to devote all her time to sculpting in 2012.  Sculpting awoke an entirely new part of her creativeness.  Wanting to capture realism, clay became an extension of Pamela's fingers.  Now, sculpting evokes memories and feelings for her clients of moments and relationships.

There is a song by Julie Meyer called “Paint your Picture” and one part says, “Take Your fingers, God, Master Potter, come mold the clay.  Tell Your story as You mold me. . .”  Pamela's desire is to get so close to the Creator, that her sculpting truly tells a part of His creation and story!

For her, to be able to take a piece of a scene and recreate it into a tangible work of art is a joy!  Pamela knows that she was created for this!
