Marie Kash Weltzheimer

Marie Kash Weltzheimer is a representational artist whose work reflects inspirations from music and nature. She has a long history working with pastel, drawing mediums, and oils.  Common themes she explores are people, portraits, and still life, along with an occasional venture into landscapes.  Some of her recent still life compositions resemble nests.  These are symbolic of the important core value of family structure that is deeply felt, since she built her family by adoption.  A sense of order, color, love, security and support is built into the compositions.

Weltzheimer has created many award–winning works that have been exhibited in numerous local, national and international shows.  Her art has been honored with several "Best of Show" awards.  Her pastel paintings have been published in The Best of Pastel and The Best of Pastel 2, by Rockport Publishers, and The Pastel Journal.  Her figurative musical work was also featured in print on two CD covers for Edgar Cruz.  Furthermore, her work is represented in numerous collections, private, corporate and public.

Weltzheimer is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, and Master Circle Honoree with the International Association of Pastel Societies.
