“Painting is a true passion for Kathy, and she cherishes the time spent photographing in nature and bringing those moments to life in her home studio.”
Bio Kathy Soliday
Kathy's journey into the world of art began early in her life under the guidance of renowned Florida painter, Eb Stowe. His mentorship instilled in her a deep love for painting, which has remained a constant passion throughout her life.
Inspired by her love of nature and animals, Kathy's artwork aims to capture the awe and beauty of the natural world. Growing up in Florida, she developed her artistic skills before moving to Oklahoma, where she pursued a career and raised her family. Upon retirement, Kathy returned to her artistic roots and has been dedicated to painting ever since, sharing her unique perspective and appreciation for nature through her work.
While she has experimented with various mediums, she consistently returns to oils for their exceptional blending qualities on canvas. Kathy specializes in painting animals and birds, often taking reference photos during her nature excursions. Her work aims to capture the emotion and unique personality of the animals
in nature and bringing those moments to life in her home studio.
