“Horses showed up in her work very early on and she gives credit of her passion to the country and western lifestyle to having been exposed to farm animals and horses, on and around the area of her grandmothers country home where she spent much of her time since she was born.”

Kristen Freeborn is a western artist from Tehachapi, California, who began pursuing her art as a career in 2018 when she first decided to try oil painting and fell in love with it. Prior to this, Kristen enjoyed drawing for friends and family. Horses showed up in her work very early on and she gives credit of her passion to the country and western lifestyle to having been exposed to farm animals and horses, on and around the area of her grandmothers country home where she spent much of her time since she was born.
Her artwork now is often inspired of experiences she has had on the trail horseback riding and of visits to the nearby Sierra mountains and areas of California. Her goals as an artist are to continue developing her skills in fine art, share her work with others who have an appreciation for the western lifestyle, and participate in western-themed art events across the US.
