Burneta Venosdel

Burneta Venosdel is a national, award-winning bronze sculptor and pastel painter.  Many of her sculpture subjects are inspired by her surroundings and life on her Oklahoma ranch.  She paints the landscapes of western Oklahoma and the wildflowers from the mountains west of Gunnison that she has trod for over 20 years.

Venosdel considers herself much blessed to have travelled across the country, exhibiting her artworks.  Her collectors enjoy her strong dynamic, western influenced, detailed, modern pieces.  She was a sculpting instructor of the 35th Western Art Academy at Schreiner's College in Kerrville, Texas.  Teaching a sculpting class in the rotunda of the Woolaroc Museum was a once–in–a– lifetime experience.

Venosdel is a Master-Signature Emeritus member and past President of Women Artists of the West, an organization of over 300 artists from across the United States, Canada and Australia. She served on the WAOW Board for eight years.  She is the past Co–Chair for the 48th National WAOW Exhibition held in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Venosdel is a signature member of both American Plains Artists and American Women Artists organizations.
