“Painting fur you want to reach out and touch is my absolute favorite thing to paint and my ultimate goal.” Ali

Bio Ali Armstrong

Ali is a wildlife artist originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She now lives with her husband and 4 kids in Reno, NV. She began her career as a freelance portrait artist and later served as an art consultant for a non-profit, contributing illustrations for Bible based children's books. In 2014 she founded a series called, Scarce, to raise money and awareness for animal species in crisis. Scarce exists to encourage responsible protection of the endangered and to never forget the beauty of the extinct. Through Scarce, she hoped to raise awareness for animals at risk and share their story. Her work has been exhibited and auctioned by several of America’s most prominent zoos. In 2018 she had the privilege of being a featured artist on the PBS show Arteffects and in 2019 brought home the GOLD Communicator Award of Excellence! Also In 2019 she began a North American wildlife series. In this New series she hopes to show the beauty of wildlife that lives in our own “back yard”. The message she hopes to communicate through both of these series is this: Through the creation we see the creativity and majesty of a Creator. He is the great artist and he made all creatures for Himself. He put this Planet under our care, and we have proven to be poor stewards. Now is the time for action, let us work together to protect the last truly wild places on our planet and the creatures who call these places home.
